Been having a bit of fun poking around the 1940 census for Aumacks in Michigan.   I need to dig out the survey (platte) maps.  What have others found?

Yay! So happy to see you here! I found my paternal Allen great grandparents in Seattle because I knew the street address, but cannot find my mom and grandparents even though I searched the entire town (Renton, WA) plus the one next door (Kent, WA) where they should be. Strangely, (in Renton) I found my maternal grandmother’s mother living as a housekeeper in my paternal grandfather’s brother’s home. Now that was a surprise! I haven’t even tried to find my dad’s family yet since they are “somewhere” in Seattle!
