#FHexpo

Holly Hansen, President Family History Expos

Another exciting day at FHexpo Mesa. I attended a session of Family History Wiki, Forums and Blogs which was an excellent overview of the resources available at familysearch.org.

And I got to the Irish Research talk by Phillip Dunne!  There was so much interest in the first session yesterday that they ran another session today.   Another interesting talk was the Timelines and Chronologies: Secrets of Genealogical Success  by Geoffrey Rasmussen.

There were so many good talks.  Better still was the networking and good fun. Thomas MacEntree of Geneabloggers (and several other blogs) entertained us with a grand entrance and Mardi Gras beads as he appeared for Lisa Louise Cooke’s Genealogy Gems live video interview at the banquet on Day 1. Also appearing were Gena Philibert Ortega, Bruce Buzbee and Anatasia Tyler.

A special thanks goes  to Holly Hansen, president of Family History Expos for including us and hosting a very educational and fun family history expo.   It was an honor to assist as a blogger and twitterer for this event.

Stay tuned for the rest of the pictures as I get them off the camera.

  1. Joan-

It was great meeting you at Expo. It’s so nice to meet other genealogy bloggers and put a real live face to a blog.

Hope to see you at another Expo.
